Community-supported agriculture (CSA) is a system that directly connects you to your farmer. In short: people buy "shares" of a farm's harvest in advance and then receive a portion of the crops as they're harvested. Payment for our Spring and Summer CSA program is an up front, paid for in full amount. This helps us as we invest in seed, soil amendments, tools needed for startup, etc., but it also helps you! Being a member in our Spring CSA guarantees you get produce before we are able to open our market or sell at the farmers market. Members receive the first and the best along with recipe ideas for your produce and fun surprises and extras thrown in here and there! We plan to run a Spring CSA from mid April to end of May or early June depending on spring weather. We will then begin a Summer CSA running from early/mid June to mid/late September (a total of 16 weeks).

CSA Spring and Summer Signups

Spring 2019 CSA:

Spring CSA will include cool weather produce. Because this is a pre season program and will not extend into the summer, we will not have produce that you find at the farmers market in July, August and September. We plan to offer a variety of $5 bundles and our members will be able to pick and choose which bundles they want each week adding up to $20. If you’d like to add on in a certain week, you are more than welcome to! Produce planned for Spring 2019 CSA will include:

-Red Russian Kale, Spinach, Arugula, Lettuce mix, Carrots, Radishes, Beets, Turnips, Sugar Snap Peas, Green Onions and possibly a few surprises!

Summer 2019 CSA:

Summer CSA will look a little different than the Spring program. Starting early or mid June, we will hand pick a variety of our produce to fill a box equalling about $20 per week. Bi weekly membership is available as well. Membership in our CSA comes with perks such as recipes, receiving extras in your box when we have a surplus of certain veggies, and other possible surprises throughout the season. Because the produce is selected for you ahead of time, we will offer one or two swaps each week if there is an item in your box you don’t like or won’t use. Some of the produce planned for our CSA summer shares will include:

- English cucumbers, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, onions, zucchini, summer squash, watermelon, cantaloupe, fresh cut flowers, beets, carrots, salad mix, arugula, red russian kale, bell peppers, green beans, and more!

Pick Up:

Box pick up will be at the farm Thursdays from 4-6 and at the Kroger Fresh Fare parking lot Tuesdays 5-6. If you are signing up for one of our CSA’s and would like to pick up at a different location, please e mail us with two preferred cities at info@threetreesfarm.net . We will try to choose a location convenient to most people.

If you are unable to pick up your box for a week, please e mail us and we can make arrangements. If you miss a pick up day, we will hold your box, please contact us to arrange pick up at the farm.

Farming Practices:

We are not certified organic, but use organic methods. We consider ourselves a biointensive farm. Please read the About US section to learn more about how we farm.

We grow everything that will be in our CSA boxes.
